It’s been a rollercoaster of an 18 months in business, but here at Surrey and West Sussex estate agency Clarendons we have some really positive news that we are proud to shout about.
As an independent estate agency, Clarendons - which was founded in 2011 - saw September’s business break a number of agency records – many for the first time in our 10-year history!
The property market has been booming this year, largely thanks to a cut in stamp duty and people looking to move to more rural locations post pandemic. The demand for both sales and lettings is still very strong, and we have the confidence and experience to sell or rent out your property fast.
Our team has been busier than ever behind the scenes too – and you may have noticed we have launched a brand-new website and social channels to ensure our clients have the best experience both online and offline.
Here’s a highlight of just some of September’s stand out month:
- New Lettings Business – we took on the largest number of new properties to let and broke our record that stood for the past 10 years when we opened our doors – this means we have some great properties on our books; but be quick, they are being snapped up.
- Sales Completed – we recorded our best month ever when it came to house sales completing – this made for both happy vendors and buyers.
- Tenants moved in – a record number of tenants moved into properties with us in September.
- This was our best overall month across the board in 10 years.
Interestingly, RightMove’s House Price Index is also showing signs of a strong housing market with the number of sales being agreed up 15.2% in September, versus 2019’s ‘normal market’, and the number of new properties coming to market is also up compared to the summer.
