This year marks the Platinum Jubilee of her Majesty the Queen celebrating 70 years on the throne.
She is the first British Monarch to reach this historic reign and the nation is planning to celebrate in royal fashion – plus we get a four-day Bank Holiday weekend from Thursday 2 June through to Sunday 5 June.
Across the country there will be huge celebrations with everything from 1950s-themed street parties with bunting and flags galore to a party at Buckingham Palace.
Here at Clarendons we love a celebration, so we have listed a few local events taking place in our areas:
Picnic in the Park
Where: Gatton Park, Reigate
When: 12-5pm, Sunday 5 June

Bring along your own food to enjoy on the lawns by the hall or venture to the lake or Japanese gardens. Commemorative events for all the family will take place and there will be cakes and refreshments available.
